2018 MLS Cup viewing party + Waking the Red meet up

For the first time since 2015, the MLS Cup will not be coming to Toronto this week. Instead, it has found a slightly warmer home in Atlanta as it awaits the hands of the victor of the 2018 edition between the host Atlanta United and the Portland Timbers.

While the Waking the Red staff wishes it could be in attendance at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, we presume actively cheering against the home team in the press box would not go over very well. Instead, we will likely be doing that very same thing at The Pint Toronto on Saturday.

We will be meeting up at a special Footy Talks viewing party for the match. Just below the Rogers Centre on Front Street, it is the best place in the city to watch the 2018 winners be crowned. The event starts at 7 p.m. Eastern, with doors opening at 8 p.m.

The event is free with an RSVP and may well have other MLS and Toronto FC-related media guests in attendance. We will continue to have more details as we get closer to the event, look forward to seeing a number of you there!
