Two games into the MLS season and Toronto FC still haven’t gotten off the ground. The reds looked in full Champions League hangover mode during a 1-0 loss away to the Montreal Impact where they struggled to threaten the home side.
Not a lot of standout performers in this one for Toronto, but a man of the match needs to be named nonetheless.
Nick Hagglund spared Toronto FC from further embarrassment on a few occasions, blocking two big Impact scoring opportunities.
Nicolas Hasler worked very hard coming off the bench, and looks to be making a case for himself to get more minutes in the midfield. He came very close to poking a Jozy Altidore shot over the line before Michael Petrasso cleared for the Impact.
