According to a report from Argentina, Toronto FC may be in the running to sign 23-year-old forward Lucas Janson on a six-month loan, with an option to buy at the end.
#TFC reportedly set to sign 23 year old attacker Lucas Janson from #Tigre, on a 6 month loan with an option to buy. He's left-footed, and can play as either a winger or forward, providing more attacking depth. #TFCLive #MLS https://t.co/Q4CK753tFc

Janson plays for Tigre in the Argentine Primera Division, a club that finished 24th in the table last season and avoided relegation by one point. He scored three goals and had three assists in 16 appearances for them.
As mentioned in the tweet above, Janson can play either out wide or centrally, with a strong left foot that could compliment TFC’s primarily right-footed attack. His loan move timeline also lines up with that of Ager Aketxe, interestingly enough. Janson could add a bit of an extra burst of offence off the bench.
The Reds also made a trade today, acquiring $50,000 in General Allocation Money from Los Angeles FC in exchange for an international roster slot. As far as I know, they do have a surplus of international spots, especially after the departure of Nicolas Hasler, so that shouldn’t be an issue here if this rumour is true, and the Reds sign Janson before the transfer window closes next week.
