Rate the Reds: Toronto FC 1-3 Tigres

That could’ve been better.

MLS: Campeones Cup-Tigres UANL at Toronto FC Nick Turchiaro-USA TODAY Sports

Well, Toronto FC did not end up lifting the first ever Campeones Cup. That privilege went to Tigres UANL, who beat the Reds 3-1 at BMO Field on Wednesday night.

It was a tough one for TFC, who couldn’t quite keep up with the deeper Mexican side, especially once both Sebastian Giovinco and Jozy Altidore were subbed off before the 60th minute.

The game had its moments, with some entertaining play especially in the first half, but ultimately it wasn’t to be for TFC.

What did you think of TFC’s performance? Were you happy with the effort against such tough Mexican opposition? Are you glad Greg Vanney gave it a good shot with his lineup?

Let your votes do the talking.
