Canada Soccer have reviewed both red cards from Saturday’s Canadian Premier League Finals first leg and have come to two very different conclusions.

Cavalry FC appealed Joel Waterman’s handball in the box in the first half, but the Disciplinary Committee decided that the red card was warranted.

Forge FC likewise appealed the red card of the league's top scorer, Tristan Borges, who was sent off after a clash with Jonathan Wheeldon. The committee found that “Tristan Borges did not use excessive force or brutality against his opponent and therefore did not meet the threshold of a violent conduct offence," so he'll be in Calgary for leg two.

The 100th and final match of the Canadian Premier League season will take place in Calgary on Saturday at 3:30pm ET / 1:30 MT.
