There will be another Toronto FC player on the pitch at BMO Field when Canada Men’s National Team takes on the United States in a crucial Concacaf Nations League match on Oct. 15, as 21-year-old Liam Fraser has been added to the squad.

Fraser will replace former TFC midfielder Will Johnson who won’t make the trip to Toronto due to family reasons. He will join fellow teammates Jonathan Osorio (CAN), Richie Laryea (CAN), Jozy Altidore (USA), and captain Michael Bradley (USA) in what should be a decisive game for Canada in their bid for to qualify “the hex” en route to a 2022 World Cup spot.

The young Canadian, a Toronto FC academy product, has continued to grow as a stable holding midfielder this season with the Reds, appearing in nine MLS matches along with two Canadian Championship games.

If he does indeed play, it will mark his Senior CanMNT debut.
