0:00 — It’s over here in Mississauga. MetroStars fall 6-3 to the Blast, their 4th loss against them this season and their 8th loss in a row. They return home on Sunday to play against the Harrisburg Heat.

6:25 — Mo Babouli is on as the 6th attacker, replacing Adrian Becic.

9:44 — Mississauga MetroStars 3-6 Baltimore Blast — Vini Dantas completes his hat trick.

14:45 — Mo Babouli dances around some defenders but William Vanzela stands tall in the Blast net.

15:00 — One quarter left for the MetroStars to get a result from this one.

4th Quarter

0:00 — End of the third quarter. Mississauga have 15 minutes left to try and end their losing streak. Despite having the lead, the Blast goalkeeper is screaming at his defenders and kicking at the boards beside his team’s bench. He’s furious about something, I just can’t tell what.

7:04 — Mississauga MetroStars 3-5 Baltimore Blast — Matthew Rios puts the ball into the top right corner of the net, off the post. The lead is reduced to two.

8:14 — Mississauga MetroStars 2-5 Baltimore Blast — Dantas extends the lead further with his second goal of the game. He fired home a free kick with lethal shot that no goalie would have been able to react to in time.

9:13 — Blue card for Blast defender Sam Guernsey after a bad tackle on Mo Babouli. MetroStars are on the powerplay.

10:23 — Mississauga MetroStars 2-4 Baltimore Blast — Jonatas Melo doubles Baltimore’s lead.

15:00 — The second half is underway. Mississauga has played well and there is still 30 minutes left for them to get back into this one. This game is far from over.

3rd Quarter

0:00 — Halftime. An unlucky goal right at the end of the quarter sees the Blast take a 3-2 lead into the break.

0:29 — Mississauga MetroStars 2-3 Baltimore Blast — Adrian Becic makes about 75 wonder saves in a row and the ball hit the crossbar a few times, but Jamie Thomas eventually forces it over the line.

2:05 — Blast forward Jon Orlando trips over a lip in the artificial grass, gets both feet stuck in the mesh of the goal, and when he manages to free himself, trips over the turf he ripped up. The fans love it.

3:51 — Mississauga MetroStars 2-2 Baltimore Blast — Former Ottawa Fury man Vinicius Dantas ties it up, kicking the ball into the empty net after a pass across the area.

5:22 — Mississauga MetroStars 2-1 Baltimore Blast — Jarred Phillips gives Mississauga the lead! Darren Chambers sprints the length of the pitch with Phillips and passes it across goal, and Phillips calmly tucks it under the keeper.

6:50 — Mississauga MetroStars 1-1 Baltimore Blast — Josh Paredes ties the game!

7:15 — Matthew Rios is hacked down in front of goal but no penalty is given.

12:05 — Adrian Becic made a big save to keep the score at 1-0

15:00 — The second period is underway.

0:00 — End of the first quarter. Both sides had a few good chances but it’s the visitors who have the lead after 15 minutes.

0:53 — The Blast nearly score from a free kick on the edge of the penalty area but a Mississauga defender prevents an easy tap-in on the goal line.

10:19 — Mississauga MetroStars 0-1 Baltimore Blast — Blast take the lead. Ibrahima Keita with the goal.

1st Quarter

Preview:

On Friday night the Mississauga MetroStars will start the second half of their season at home against the Baltimore Blast.

They are currently on a seven game losing streak, and it doesn’t get any easier for the MetroStars. They will need to overcome the Baltimore Blast, who have already beaten them in all three games between the teams this season, including a 14-6 loss in Maryland on January 20th and an overtime heartbreaker on January 3rd.

The MetroStars are returning home after a four game road trip, which saw them spend over a month away from the Paramount Fine Foods Centre. They fell in all four games, all without forward Dwayne De Rosario.
