Tomorrow, all eyes at BMO Field will be on the number 10. That is not unusual for fans at the stadium, but the name above the number will be different this year.

Alejandro Pozuelo is set to make his Toronto FC debut against NYCFC amid massive expectations after replacing Sebastian Giovinco, the best player in club, and potentially league, history.

Whether he starts the game on the field or on the bench remains to be seen after just joining his teammates for the first time earlier this week. However, what is a guarantee is that every touch he makes on the field is going to be under a microscope.

The match will also serve as the first chance to get a look at Greg Vanney’s vision for both his team and the player going forward. With a financial investment like the made for the Spaniard, and position he plays, there is no doubt the team will be built around him.

So what do those blocks around him look like in the early going? Mitchell Tierney and The Score’s Devang Desai discuss whether Toronto should start Pozuelo tomorrow, and where, on this week’s Footy Talks podcast.

They also delve into what they are looking for from the club in Toronto’s biggest test of the season so far. Discussion starts off with the Canadian men’s national team, and their Concacaf Nations League draw as well as what their best 11 looks like going forward and the difficulty John Herdman has ahead of him in terms of selecting a team.
