Well, it’s past midnight and everyone’s grumpy. Toronto FC played an incredibly dull match (for the most part) with the Vancouver Whitecaps out on the Pacific coast, drawing 1-1 after some last-minute theatrics.
Just as we all thought they were about to play out a scoreless draw, nope! A reckless Drew Moor tackle gave the Whitecaps a penalty and Fredy Montero put it away to make it a 1-0 lead for the home side.
That wasn’t quite all, though. TFC continued to press, and Nick DeLeon found the equalizer in the 90th minute. His shot from the edge of the box deflected off a Vancouver defender and found its way into the goal.

The other thing to come out of this one was an unfortunate injury to Chris Mavinga in the first half. Hopefully that’s not serious.
This was... not a game that was really worth staying up late for. That said, it was nice to see some spark from TFC in the final few minutes, which is something they’ve been lacking.
On the whole, the Reds were probably the better side, despite being unable to score more than once against a team that was content to sit back all evening.
On to the next one. What did you think of TFC tonight? Unlucky not to win? Unable to execute?
