Recap: Toronto FC fall flat in loss to FC Dallas

MLS: Toronto FC at FC Dallas Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

This nightmare of a stretch for Toronto FC ain't over yet. They extended their winless streak to eight on Saturday, losing 3-0 on the road to FC Dallas.

The game started slowly, with a few toothless chances on either side, but Dominique Badji found the net for the home side just before halftime.

Despite bringing on Alejandro Pozuelo to start the second frame, and looking decent for a bit, TFC conceded again just minutes after the break as Matheus Bressan headed in off a free kick.

Then, shortly after, TFC were again exposed on the counter as Badji found himself unmarked and finished well past Richie Laryea and Quentin Westberg. 3-0.

The loss wasn't necessarily unexpected, with the makeshift lineup TFC was forced to field, but it sure was an ugly one. The defensive issues are still there, and the attack is just flat.

The end of the Gold Cup and the July transfer window can't come soon enough.
