Toronto FC have spent the last couple of weeks making moves. With Omar Gonzelez, Erickson Gallardo and now Nicolas Benezet joining the team, the club made three TAM signings in the space of a month.

The squad has been assembled, now it’s time to start making moves in the standings. The time has never been better to do so than now as Toronto play seven straight games against Eastern Conference opposition, many of whom they are in direct competition with for a playoff spot.

On top of this, the club has a pair of Canadian Championship semi-final matches against the Ottawa Fury. So we will learn a lot about what Toronto FC truly has under the hood over the next few weeks.

Mitchell Tierney and Michael Leach discussed both moves the club has made and the ones the need to make on this week’s Footy Talks podcast.

They also delved into the Canadian Championship in general and the incredible injection of excitement the Canadian Premier League sides have added to the competition. They then look ahead to the semi-final matchups.

Also discussed is the 2019 MLS All-Star Game as well as last night’s skills competition and whether or not it is a concept worth repeating. As always you can listen below or subscribe on Itunes. Ratings and comments are always appreciated.
