Just before their first team counterparts kickoff in Columbus, Toronto FC II are in Richmond, Virginia on Saturday night for a game against the Richmond Kickers.
After a 3-1 loss to Greenville Triumph SC last Friday, The Young Reds have lost three games in a row. This is their longest losing streak of the season, and will look to bounce back against the very same Kickers team that won the first of those three games.
In that game, the first meeting between the two clubs this season, Richmond went to the BMO Training Ground and walked away with a 2-1 victory. An Eric Klenofsky own goal and a strike from Josh Hughes saw Richmond take three points, cancelling out an early Matthew Srbely goal. My report from that game is here.
Also in TFC II news, midfielder Noble Okello made his first-team debut in the Canadian Championship on Wednesday night. He came off the bench for Jonathan Osorio at halftime, and put in a decent shift against the Ottawa Fury.
As always, this match will be streamed on YouTube:
