Terique Mohammed's late equalizer completes comeback draw for TFC II

The Young Reds came back from 2-0 down in Richmond on Saturday

Toronto FC II

Toronto FC II erased a two goal deficit on Saturday afternoon to earn a point against the Richmond Kickers.

Richmond got the scoring underway in just the 5th minute through Daniel Jackson, as the veteran forward punished TFC II for a moment of poor defending.

After TFC II were unable to clear a high cross, Matthew Bolduc reacted first and picked up the ball. He played a low ball to Jackson, who fired the ball just under the bar to get the Kickers on the board.

It was Jackson who doubled the lead in the 23rd minute. After receiving a pass from Joe Gallardo, he flicked the ball over a TFC II defender, sprinted toward the goal, and slid the ball under Caleb Patterson-Sewell to extend his side's advantage.

In the 53rd minute, Jordan Perruzza got The Young Reds back in the game, firing a brilliant free kick under the wall to pull the visitors back within one.

It was Jordan's 9th goal of the season, keeping him in 2nd place in the USL League One Golden Boot race.

In the final moments of the match, Toronto FC II found their equalizer. Following a lobbed free kick from Matthew Srbely, Terique Mohammed (who came off the bench in the 64th minute) jumped and headed the ball past Akira Fitzgerald, tying the game.

Up next for TFC II is a home game on Friday against Greenville Triumph SC. After a 3-1 defeat to Greenville at the BMO Training Ground a couple of weeks ago, The Young Reds will be looking for revenge. Kickoff for that match is at 4 pm.
