Toronto FC II vs Greenville Triumph SC: Preview, Game Thread and Stream

Greenville return to the BMO Training Ground after a 3-1 win in Toronto a couple of weeks ago

After a comeback draw against the Richmond Kickers to end their losing streak on Saturday, Toronto FC II return home for a 4 pm game with the Greenville Triumph.

Greenville were in town on August 9th and came out with a 3-1 victory. First team forward Ayo Akinola scored the lone goal for II.

Here are the highlights from the last encounter between the two sides:

The visitors have been in form lately, and are unbeaten in their last 4 games. That run includes the aforementioned game in Toronto, as well as wins over two of the top sides in USL League One, South Georgia Tormenta FC and North Texas SC.

Those two sides have been battling it out for top spot all season, although Lansing Ignite currently sit in first, with one more point in three more matches than North Texas.

TFC II sit in 8th place, with 24 points through 20 matches. They're 8 points back of a playoff spot, with two games in hand over the 4th-placed Chattanooga Red Wolves. Greenville sit 5th with 30 points through 20 matches, and can overtake Chattanooga with a win today.
