When the team travels to Los Angeles to play LAFC Saturday night, Toronto FC will still be without winger Nicolas Benezet, according to the Toronto Sun’s Steve Buffery.
The 28-year-old reportedly felt discomfort in his hip after departing early from Sunday’s match against the Colorado Rapids. He then missed Wednesday’s first-leg tie with the Montreal Impact — the Reds first loss in ten matches.

2016 first-round pick Tsubasa Endoh has stepped up in Benezet’s absence. With their lack of depth on the wing, Endoh’s emergence in the midst of a congested September has been a welcoming addition for the Reds. If he can keep up his form, he may buy his teammates some much-needed rest down the stretch.
As it stands, it is unclear if Benezet will be back in time for the second leg of the Voyageurs Cup on Wednesday at BMO Field.
For now, the Reds will have to do without their clever French attacker as they get set to take on Western Conference powerhouses LAFC with kickoff set for 10:30 p.m. EST Saturday night.
