Brief Recap:

Toronto FC II picked up a point on Friday night, after a late goal by Chattanooga's Eamon Zayed equalized for the visitors.

Jordan Perruzza opened the scoring with a penalty goal, which was cancelled out by a PK from Steven Beattie early in the second half. Jordan Faria's exceptional free kick with around 15 minutes left looked to be the winner, but Zayed's late strike saw Chattanooga leave town with a draw.

TFC II's winless run has now reached eight straight games.

Goals:

Perruzza (TOR) 31' — WATCH

Beattie (CHT) 51'

Faria (TOR) 72' — WATCH

Zayed (CHT) 83'

Waking the Red will publish a full recap in the coming days.

Preview:

After a defeat in Texas saw their winless streak reach seven games, Toronto FC II returns to the BMO Training Ground on Friday afternoon to take on Chattanooga Red Wolves SC with kickoff set for 4 p.m EST.

The two sides have met only once this season prior to Friday’s match, a 2-2 draw in Tennessee on June 1. Shaan Hundal and Jacob Shaffelburg had the two goals for TFC II on that day.

The Red Wolves, like TFC II, are going through a bit of a rough patch at the moment. They haven’t won in their last three matches, having lost to North Texas SC and FC Tucson on either side of a 1-1 draw with South Georgia Tormenta FC.

Here are the highlights from Toronto FC II’s last match against North Texas SC:
