Toronto FC II's chances of making the USL League One playoffs took another hit on Sunday, as a late equalizer from Chattanooga Red Wolves SC forward Eamon Zayed denied them three valuable points.

Jordan Perruzza got the scoring underway for Toronto, slotting home a penalty in the 31st minute. It was his 10th goal of the season, leaving him in sole possession of 2nd place in the USL League One Golden Boot race.

Chattanooga equalized from the spot at the start of the second half after Jesus West brought down Tony Walls in the area. Steven Beattie, who leads Chattanooga in scoring, stepped up and scored his 9th of the season.

Jordan Faria gave Toronto the lead again with a stunning free kick, firing one into the top corner in the 72nd minute.

Just when it seemed like TFC II were going to break their winless streak, Eamon Zayed equalized for Chattanooga with an easy tap-in in the 83rd minute.

He was left alone at the back post, so when Conor Doyle played a pass across the goal, Zayed redirected it into the net to tie the game.

TFC II's winless streak has reached eight games. They currently sit second-last in the USL League One standings, and it would take a lot for them to make the playoffs.

They have 26 points in 23 games, but sit 7 points back of Forward Madison, who occupy the 4th and final playoff spot. There are 3 teams, including Forward Madison, tied on 33 points, with two others within reach of 34 points. FC Tucson have 31 points and a game in hand on those 3 teams, while Richmond has 28 points and two games in hand.
