This week’s show previews the Canadian men’s and women’s national team with an eye towards the year ahead, one that will include both the Olympics and World Cup qualifying for the men.

Mitchell Tierney is joined by Alexandre Gangué-Ruzic of Between Two Sticks. They chat about Canada’s January camp and the opportunities it gives the team, players they are keeping an eye on, and what qualifying for an Olympic games could mean for the men’s team.

They also discuss the women’s team as they look to win a medal for the third straight Olympic games. Alexandre revealed his key players for Canada going into this year and the future.

On the Toronto FC front, discussion turns to Chris Mavinga and what his re-signing means for the club. They also chat about Alex Bono’s future with Toronto FC and why it might be time for the club to move on.

Finally, Alexandre brings us up to speed on the Vancouver Whitecaps, including what the Lucas Cavallini signing really means and what the team still needs to do to build a capable group around him.
