TORONTO, Canada—Fresh off netting his third game-winner in as many matches, Toronto FC star midfielder Alejandro Pozuelo has once again been named to the Major League Soccer Team of the Week.

The Spaniard earned his spot among the Week 14 top performers—the fourth time this season he has accomplished the feat—after scoring his seventh goal of the season, tying him with Ayo Akinola for the club lead.

Pozuelo, the reigning MLS Player of the Month for September, has put together an MVP-calibre campaign in 2020. He has produced a league-leading nine assists, while also ranking first in MLS in Big Chances Created (13), Chances Created (52) and Expected Assists (5.94).

Despite all of the tangible success, Pozuelo, 29, doesn’t believe that this is the best that he has ever played.

“No, I don’t think so,” Pozuelo replied, when asked about his form after last match. “I had a good period in another team, I know I feel good. The more important thing is the team. We play very good football, we started losing but we kept going and pushing and the three points is the most important.”
