After a pair of convincing victories over Vancouver Whitecaps FC last week, Toronto FC have received a bit of recognition from the league's official website.
MLSsoccer.com revealed their updated power rankings on Tuesday morning, and the Reds have claimed the top spot, taking over from LAFC.

TFC beat Vancouver 3-0 and 1-0 this week, earning all six possible points from the Whitecaps, putting them in the driver's seat for a spot in the 2020 Canadian Championship.
The Reds were clinical in their first match against the 'Caps, and while the second match was somewhat of a bore, it was still an important win—and clean sheet. Boring 1-0 matches win titles.
Dating back to last season, the club is unbeatean in their last 17 matches—two back of tying the 2004-05 Columbus Crew for the MLS record.
Speaking of the Columbus Crew, who lead the race for the Supporters Shield by one point over TFC, they take the second spot in the Power Rankings after a loss to NYCFC on the weekend, while the Philadelphia Union round out the top three.
The Montreal Impact hadn't played at the time of the rankings, so they were in 17th, but after a win of their own against Vancouver, should find themselves a few places higher.
The Whitecaps, meanwhile, currently sit 26th out of 26, and after their form coming out of the MLS Is Back tournament, it isn't hard to see why. They've lost all three matches, are yet to score a goal, and at times have been flat out quite difficult to watch.
Up next, Toronto FC take on the Montreal Impact on Friday. The Reds will be at the Stade Saputo to renew 401 Derby hostilities.
