Toronto FC II made a couple of moves on Wednesday afternoon, sending a pair of players on loan to USL clubs.

Midfielder Adolfo Ovalle has been sent on loan to fellow USL League One club Forward Madison FC, while goalkeeper Eric Klenofsky is off to USL Championship club Tacoma Defiance. Both deals are for the remainder of the 2020 season.

Ovalle, 23, was one of Toronto FC II's most consistent performers in 2019, suiting up 22 times. He captained the side on many occasions, and was a vocal leader on a very young TFC II side. He’ll be leaving his brother behind, who signed for the Young Reds earlier in the year, but he’ll be joining Forward Madison FC for their playoff run as The Flamingos currently sit in 5th place in USL League One.

Klenofsky, 25, played nine times for TFC II in 2019, picking up three clean sheets along the way. The 6'6 shot-stopper joins a Tacoma side that currently sit third in Group A of their 2020 USL Championship campaign. The Seattle Sounders reserve team, Tacoma are 14 points behind Sacramento and Reno, who are battling it out for first in the group.

After making the decision in early July to withdraw from the 2020 USL League One season due to COVID-19 complications and health risks, The Young Reds have been sending a few players on loan to get them valuable playing time, many of whom are currently on loan in the Canadian Premier League for The Island Games.

Robert Boskovic was loaned to Cavalry FC, Terique Mohammed to FC Edmonton and Julian Dunn and Dante Campbell are with Valour FC. Nyal Higgins is also out on loan, overseas with Nyköpings Bis in Sweden.

On Thursday, Toronto FC head coach Greg Vanney confirmed that TFC II will loan out more players before the transfer window closes.
