Guess today’s final score before the 1 pm EST kickoff to enter our prediction and be eligible to win a Toronto FC prize!

Welcome to Round Nine of Waking The Red Prediction League.

It’s another early one today as the Reds travel back to New York City to take on an NYCFC team that is in-form! Let’s hope that this afternoon match goes a bit better than last week’s game when they were shut out by the New York Red Bulls...actually, let’s pray.

I don’t have the fancy numbers here like Martyn usually does, but what I will say is that I am in fourth place and moving UP the table. Watch out Curtis Gergley-Garner... I’m coming for ya!

Check out the full standings below.

Toronto FC are going for back-to-back wins for the first time in the Chris Armas era, and a win today would almost certainly put that shaky start to the campaign in the rear view!

The point system for the 2021 season will be as follows:

  • 2 points for guessing the correct result (Win, Loss, or Draw)
  • 1 point for guessing the amount of Toronto FC goals scored
  • 1 point for guessing the amount of Toronto FC goals conceded

A perfect game prediction will yield a massive 4 points—and there will be a extra points available each match for the bonus question!

BONUS QUESTION:

Let’s keep it simple. New York City FC have nine goals in four matches so far this season (2.3 per game), while Toronto FC have six in four (1.5 per game). So, will there be more than three goals total scored in today’s match? Or will there be three or less?

Come On You Reds!!
