The Italian Stalion spent the last three seasons with Al-Hilal after departing Toronto FC, appearing in 83 matches in all competitions, scoring 16 times and adding 19 assists. He would help Al-Hilal to two Saudi Professional League titles and a domestic cup, as well as the AFC Champions League title in 2019, as his side became the first West Asian team to win the continental crown in eight years.
While with Toronto between 2015-2018, Giovinco was widely regarded as the best player in Major League Soccer. The club’s all-time leading goal scorer was an MLS All-Star in four consecutive seasons, was named the Most Valuable Player in 2015, and helped TFC to their first and only MLS Cup to date in 2017.
MLS teams have the ability to make signings up until Sept. 15 when the roster freeze date goes into effect...just saying!
