Rate the Reds: Justin Morrow a hat-trick hero on Toronto FC’s historic night

The left-back hit his highest high just as his team did.

Justin Morrow has seen the building of this Toronto FC team from start to finish and, all the while, grown with it.

And as the Reds hit their highest high yet by winning the Supporters’ Shield on Saturday night, so did the wing-back by scoring a hat-trick to secure the decisive victory over the New York Red Bulls.

Morrow poached goals like a natural centre forward at BMO Field while Chris Mavinga provided able support behind him. Victor Vazquez scored the game-winning goal in the 4-2 triumph from the penalty spot and also scores highly in your man-of-the-match voting.

Somewhat harshly, the only player to come out on the negative side of the ratings on a historic night is Drew Moor, who conceded a penalty that looked to have given the Red Bulls a route to a point and put the champagne on ice until some heroics from Jozy Altidore.
