The MLS Cup MVP is enjoying himself.
Jozy Altidore says he has not stopped partying since he scored the winning goal against the Seattle Sounders on Saturday - and it was gloriously evident in an all-timer of a speech at Toronto FC’s parade through the city this afternoon.
Altidore starts by taking a moment to... pay tribute to the Montreal Impact’s season. Despite the advice of a nearby teammate, he then announces: “I’m not going to drop the mic.”
That’s because he wants to thank the fans, telling them that every game, the players go “into the laboratory to try to cook up some great stuff for you guys” and that their support has “the Six on a waaaaaave”.
It’s bizarre, hilarious and yet more evidence as to why Altidore has become one of Toronto’s own.
