Toronto FC supporters groups leave a mark on Kia Training Grounds

The Red Patch Boys, Inebriatti and others will have a presence at the Reds’ day-to-day base.

Wanted to share something I saw yesterday that I thought was pretty cool.

Toronto FC posted a tweet on Sunday showing a few representatives from the club’s most prominent supporters groups painting their logos on the walls of the corridor that leads out to the two indoor artificial pitches at the Kia Training Grounds.

It’s just a little thing, but a nice touch nevertheless as TFC look to repair a few relationships following the dispute with the Inebriatti over the offensive banner that appeared during a derby against the Montreal Impact at BMO Field last season. Club-supporter disagreements are an inevitability from time to time but gestures like this go a long way towards demonstrating that the club’s intentions are good.

The supporters groups represented are the Red Patch Boys, Inebriatti, Kings in the North, Original 109, U-Sector and Tribal Rhythm Nation.
