Toronto FC will look to make it seven wins in a row on Friday night when they face the New York Red Bulls at Red Bull Arena. The Reds have successfully dealt with a few injuries as well as the necessary squad rotation over their recent stretch of games but have some new absentees - as well as players returning - for their next run of fixtures.
Toronto are fully fit in goal and Mark Pais will be with TFC II, who play the Tampa Bay Rowdies, on Friday as a result.
Players available: Clint Irwin, Alex Bono
Drew Moor is back after undergoing a minor procedure to correct an irregular heartbeat and could start against the Red Bulls.
Nick Hagglund suffered an MCL tear against Minnesota United and will be out for the next eight to 12 weeks.
Jason Hernandez was substituted against the Loons due to a bout of food poisoning but will be ready if called upon on Friday night.
Ashtone Morgan came through 45 minutes against the Bethlehem Steel in the USL last weekend and remains with TFC II, where he will log more minutes before returning to first-team contention.
Players available: Steven Beitashour, Jason Hernandez, Chris Mavinga, Drew Moor, Justin Morrow, Eriq Zavaleta
Jonathan Osorio came off against the Columbus Crew feeling sick and with a racing heartbeat, and has been wearing a heart monitor this week to determine if any further steps need to be taken. He can be considered unlikely to feature against the Red Bulls.
With just short of a full week’s rest in the bag, Greg Vanney should have all of his other midfielders available for selection.
Players available: Michael Bradley, Jay Chapman, Benoit Cheyrou, Armando Cooper, Marky Delgado, Raheem Edwards, Tsubasa Endoh, Jonathan Osorio, Victor Vazquez
Sebastian Giovinco has suffered a quad strain and been ruled out for three weeks. Due to the June international break, it will likely be a month before he plays another MLS game.
Players available: Jozy Altidore, Jordan Hamilton, Tosaint Ricketts
TFC II assignments
In addition to the aforementioned Pais and Morgan, Ben Spencer, Sergio Camargo, Oyvind Alseth and Brandon Aubrey will remain with the Young Reds this week. Tsubasa Endoh is with the first team.
