Michael Bradley is back in USA fans’ good books.
The midfielder is a popular figure at Toronto FC, but some American supporters have doubted his credentials for a starting spot in their national team on the back of a spell under Jurgen Klinsmann during which player and coach often did not seem to see eye-to-eye.
But Bradley silenced his critics at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico on Sunday night, firing a spectacular chipped shot past Guillermo Ochoa from at least 35 yards to give the USA a 1-0 lead in their World Cup qualifier.
A few of his TFC teammates were watching.
