VIDEO: Michael Bradley nets phenomenal goal for USA, draws plaudits of Toronto FC teammates

New, comments

An incredible chip from the captain.

Michael Bradley is back in USA fans’ good books.

The midfielder is a popular figure at Toronto FC, but some American supporters have doubted his credentials for a starting spot in their national team on the back of a spell under Jurgen Klinsmann during which player and coach often did not seem to see eye-to-eye.

But Bradley silenced his critics at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico on Sunday night, firing a spectacular chipped shot past Guillermo Ochoa from at least 35 yards to give the USA a 1-0 lead in their World Cup qualifier.

A few of his TFC teammates were watching.

Quite possibly the best goal of his career.
