A tired Toronto FC team needed its goalkeeper to come up big, and Alex Bono delivered.

The 23-year-old produced a stunning save to deny Teal Bunbury and a couple of other important moments as the Reds saw off the New England Revolution on 48 hours of rest, earning our man of the match award from your votes.

Bono edged out Victor Vazquez and Chris Mavinga for the prize, with the former assisting Sebastian Giovinco’s second goal and the latter putting in a strong 69-minute shift before he was substituted having played the full 90 in Montreal two days earlier.
