The Good
Bring on the Mexican pussy cats... Alex Bono’s new, blue jersey. Needs to be paired with different coloured shorts, though... Victor Vazquez looked sharper and more creative. The positive impacts of a 25 degree increase in temperature (Celsius) can never be over-estimated... Justin Morrow’s chance in the 29th minute. But, wasn’t he supposed to be playing left-back?... Seba’s free kick. Admit it, you thought that it was in as well... Ager Aketxe’s debut. He didn’t overly impress, but he didn’t under-perform either. The most important thing, though, is that the pronunciation standard has now been set... the pitch. Not bad for February (but, see “bad” section)... Michael Bradley playing defence. Let’s hope that he’s at his peak all the time. Currently, TFC does not have a suitable player to spell him on occasion. (I will get off my soap-box now)... Bono showing that he can also play Aussie rules football... Auro looked good in his second match... the aptly named Marlon Hairston... Drew Moor’s header late in the game... Giovinco’s ability to both create space and fit into tight spaces.

The Bad
What is it with Colorado, BMO Field, and draws?... Morrow’s grizzly look. Time for a haircut and a shave. I’ll even take the corn rows at this point... aggressive play threw the Reds off their game — again!... Jozy Altidore’s effort for most of the night. Someone please tell him that it’s the end of August. That’s when he usually kicks it into high gear... confusion in TFC’s midfield. Was that a 4-4-2, or a 3-5-2, or a 3-1-2-1-2?... Dominique Badji giving Toronto’s defence fits — again!... funny how Colorado loses and, all of a sudden, this was just a “preseason” match... the pitch: it was used late last year and very early this year. It has taken a terrible beating. Let’s hope that it can withstand the Reds and the Argos deep into 2018. Can anyone say “resod”?
The Ugly
Kortne Ford’s tackle on Sebastian Giovinco: another Aussie rules play... the empty north-end seats. Looked shoddy... trying to watch the game in Florida. The place where we are staying has 14 sports channels. Nothing! Men’s college basketball, women’s college basketball, Mexican wrestling, preseason baseball, old Bundesliga games, Argentinian soccer games, but no CCL. Local taverns were also not willing to show the game. TSN streaming does not work in the U.S., and MLS Live did not have the match either. Still a long way to go. Had to settle for some dodgy stream from Russia. Hope that my tablet actually lives to see another match.
