Toronto FC head into one of their biggest games ever tonight, and you all head into one of the most enigmatic prediction league rounds yet. The Reds play Tigres at 10 p.m. EST tonight in Monterrey, Mexico, with a 2-1 aggregate lead after coming back from 1-0 down last Wednesday at BMO Field.
A lot more people managed to get point from that game than from the loss to Columbus last weekend. A major shout-out is in order to wakingthejake and Mike Whaley, both of whom correctly predicted the 2-1 scoreline and that Jozy Altidore would open the scoring for TFC (or, as Mike put it, that Jozy would “do the hero thing again”).
Mike has also taken over the lead in the standings, his perfect five points from last round shooting him up to a total of nine. Five people sit behind him with eight points.
In general, it was a pretty good outing for WTRers. Seven people picked Jozy to score first, and another seven got the 2-1 score right (but they all picked Sebastian Giovinco to find the net).
There’ll be no bonus points this week, since I think last game adequately caught us up to speed after the Columbus disaster. So, business as usual: pick the score in the comments below. Two points for the result, and one each for TFC and Tigres goal totals.
