Wednesday night is going to be one of the most momentous in recent Toronto sports history. The Toronto Maple Leafs play Game 7 against the Boston Bruins, the Raptors have Game 5 in their series against the Washington Wizards, and, of course, Toronto FC will finish off the CONCACAF Champions League final against C.D. Guadalajara.
Because of it, MLSE announced today they’ll be hosting one giant fan party downtown at Maple Leaf Square. The Raptors are the only team playing at home, so we assumed they’d get priority for the square’s big screen, but it looks like the other two teams won’t be forgotten.
The Leafs game will apparently be broadcast at the other end of Bremner Blvd, near York St. The TFC game, which kicks off a good bit after the other two at 9:30 p.m., will also be played on a video screen at the square.
It’s definitely nice to see TFC getting some love from the parent organization on one of the most momentous nights in club history. Will you be going?
