Fortnite, for those who don’t know, is a free-to-download video game on the computer, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It is taking over the lives of many gamers around the world, as well as Jay Chapman and Alex Bono apparently. The Toronto FC players took to Twitter on Monday for a little war of words with Chicago Fire defender Matt Polster.
Bono, away on international duty with the U.S. Men’s National Team, left his console with the game at home, much to the annoyance of his TFC teammate Chapman:
It's honestly treason that you didn't bring fortnite to camp with you @Alex25Bono ...

I’m not sure I’d go as far as calling it treason, but I can certainly understand Chapman’s frustration. I have never played Fortnite, but judging by Chapman’s Twitter feed, he is a big fan of the game as he tweets about it on a regular basis.

After Jay called out Alex on Twitter, Chicago Fire defender Matt Polster replied with “I heard Bono wasn’t good.... Jay when we getting on?”, leading to some debate between the three MLSers about who is better at the game and which console is better to play on.
There’s only one way to find out who is truly the Toronto FC Fortnite champion: a game on the big screen on the north end of the pitch, Milwaukee Brewers style.
“It is a beautiful day. Give @FortniteGame a break and play outside.”
