MLS: Philadelphia Union at Toronto FC Tom Szczerbowski-USA TODAY Sports

We’re back, baby. Toronto FC beat the Philadelphia Union ____ on Friday night at BMO Field, in a pretty solid (for the most part) all-around performance to get their second MLS win of the season.

Victor Vazquez, Sebastian Giovinco, and Jay Chapman all scored excellent goals for TFC in this one, and plenty of other players put in good shifts as well. Alex Bono dominated the air in his penalty area, and both Michael Bradley and Gregory van der Wiel continued to show excellent form out of position at centre-back.

It would be hard to pick a player who performed badly tonight, but not at all hard to pick a man of the match in my opinion. Giovinco had a vintage night, setting up Vazquez’s goal with a perfect pass and finishing one himself in spectacular, 2015-like fashion.

The Reds battled wind and poor pitch conditions tonight, and their quality shone through as they were clearly the better team for at least 80 of the 90 minutes.

Have your say in the poll below!
