Rate the Reds: Toronto FC 2-3 New York City FC

A frustrating day at the office...

MLS: New York City FC at Toronto FC Nick Turchiaro-USA TODAY Sports

Well, just as we thought Toronto FC were about to steal a point with 10 men against New York City FC, the match was stolen out from under them. It wasn’t actually a terrible performance with a man down, all things considered, but the self-inflicted wounds were too deep.

The Reds remain seven points back of a playoff spot with 11 games remaining. Before they can worry about that, though, they have Wednesday night against the Vancouver Whitecaps — the Canadian Championship final. Then, it’s off to California on the weekend for a date with the San Jose Earthquakes.

What did you think of the TFC players who remained in the game today? Pleased with the effort against a tough team, but disappointed at the result? Or frustrated at the sloppy defending and lack of composure?

Vent your feelings by exercising your WTR-given democratic right. (I don’t have a headshot for Bakero yet, before y’all ask...)
