Toronto FC drew 2-2 with the Vancouver Whitecaps on Wednesday night in Leg 1 of the 2018 Canadian Championship final. After the Whitecaps’ Felipe was sent off just before halftime, with the score 1-1, TFC never managed to capitalize fully on their advantage and they surrendered a late goal, but the result was saved for them at the death thanks to former Red Doneil Henry’s catastrophic own goal (before you ask, I was going to put Henry in the poll, but he didn’t have a photo. Also, that’s probably too mean...)
Anyway, a draw or win would give TFC the Voyageurs Cup next week. This wasn’t a sparkling performance, but it’s pretty much the result they needed on the road (if not a deserved one). Two away goals is a pretty good thing to take out of BC Place.
What did you think of TFC’s players tonight? Good? Bad? So-so? Disappointing? Decent? Let us know.
